Helios Beam moves power from where it is generated to where it is needed. Transmission today means wire, and wire means right-of-way, loss over distance, and a build measured in decades. Beam is designed to break the tie between where power is made and where it is used, so generation can be placed where the energy is, not where the grid already reaches.
