Helios Grid connects Beam and Cell into one network and decides where power goes. A grid today is a set of fixed paths, sized for the worst hour of the year and idle for most of the rest. Grid routes power as a network routes traffic, so capacity is allocated where it is wanted at the moment it is wanted.
